Frequently asked questions
The stuff people ask most. Still stuck? Hop into the Discord.
Is PizzaLauncher really free? +
Completely free. There's no paid tier, subscription, or store — you just need to own Minecraft: Java Edition to play.
Which operating systems does PizzaLauncher support? +
Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) only. There are no macOS or Linux builds at the moment.
Can I join any server with PizzaLauncher? +
Yes. PizzaLauncher runs normal Minecraft: Java Edition, so you can connect to any server your chosen version supports — exactly like the official launcher.
What is PizzaLauncher? +
A free, third-party launcher for Minecraft: Java Edition on Windows. Sign in with your Microsoft account, install any version, run multiple instances, and add mods from Modrinth — all in one app. It is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
Why can't I log in with my Microsoft account? +
First, make sure that account actually owns Minecraft: Java Edition and that you're connected to the internet. If sign-in still fails, sign out and back in and double-check you're using the right Microsoft account. Still stuck? Ask in our Discord.
Which mods can I use? +
Any mods compatible with the Minecraft version of the instance you're running. Browse and install them straight from the built-in Modrinth browser, or drop mod files into the instance's mods folder yourself.
PizzaLauncher won't launch, or the game keeps crashing — what should I do? +
A few things to try:
- • Give the instance more RAM in its settings.
- • Update your graphics drivers.
- • Try a fresh instance to rule out a broken mod.
If it keeps happening, hop into the Discord with your logs and we'll help.
Can I use my own resource packs? +
Of course. Resource packs work just like in vanilla — add them in-game, or drop them into the instance's resourcepacks folder.
Will I lose my worlds and settings when I update or reinstall? +
No. Updating — and even uninstalling — keeps your worlds, instances, and launcher data in place, so your setups stay safe.
Does PizzaLauncher come with mods built in? +
No — it ships clean, just like vanilla. You decide what to add per instance through the Modrinth browser, so nothing runs that you didn't install yourself.
I found a bug — where can I report it? +
Please report it in our Discord. Include your Windows version, the Minecraft version, and what you were doing so we can reproduce it.
Where does PizzaLauncher store my files? +
Game files, instances, and settings live in your Windows user data folder, with each instance kept separate so mods and worlds never mix together.
